Promotional models for your booth, launch or activation

Promotional models are the friendly faces who greet guests, explain a product, hand out items and collect leads at events. On ShootModel you book promo models by the hour for trade shows, product launches, sampling events and brand activations, with verified IDs, clear rates and a contract made for every booking.

Why promo staff are booked by the hour

Events run on shifts, not on photo days. A booth may need two people at opening, four over lunch and two again for the last hour. On ShootModel you search Models, filter by the event category, set the city, date and exact hours, and the card shows the full rate for that shift.

For multi-day shows, book each day or send one shoot request with the full schedule to every matching model and collect who confirms. Teams on a plan can keep many requests open at once.

03

Attire, briefing and the first hour

Good promo staff walk in ready. You help them by sending clear details in the booking chat a few days before.

Attire

Say what to wear and what you provide. Branded shirts, a jacket or a uniform are common. If you want black pants and clean shoes, say so. Keep it simple and professional.

Briefing

Send a one-page brief: what the product does, three key points, the one question you want every guest asked, and where to send hot leads. Add a short call before doors open if the product is complex.

Arrival

Give the call time, the load-in door, parking notes and the name of your on-site lead. Most venues need a badge, so put the model's name on your staff list early.

Venue rules and event insurance

Many convention centers and venues have their own rules for exhibitor staff, like badge rules, break areas and what can be handed out. Some ask exhibitors for proof of event insurance. Check your exhibitor manual and your venue contract before the show, and share the rules that touch staff in the booking chat. ShootModel handles the booking, contract and payment. It does not replace the insurance or permits your event may need.

05

How this compares to a promotional model agency

A promotional model agency picks staff for you and adds its fee to every hour. That can help for very large tours. For most booths and launches, you can pick people yourself on ShootModel, see their rate up front and pay that rate plus any buyout, with no booker fee added. The 15% platform fee comes out of the model's payout.

Event photos of your staff often end up on social media. The booking includes a model release and a usage license, so your team knows what it can post.

After the event wraps

Ask your on-site lead to note anything that went well or badly while it is fresh. When the booking is complete, rate the promo staff, and they rate you too. Ratings only come from completed bookings, so they mean something to the next exhibitor.

Payment goes out to the staff 48 hours after the event. If someone did not show up or left early, open a dispute inside that window, and the payment stays on hold while it is reviewed. If the event went well, save the team to a shortlist. Next season you can book the same people in a few clicks, as long as their calendars are open.

Yes. Book each day, or send one shoot request with the full schedule and collect confirmations.
