ShootModel terms of service
These terms explain how ShootModel works and what you agree to when you use it. They cover accounts, adult verification, bookings, payment and payouts, the documents made for every booking, cancellations, plans, acceptable use and the limits of our liability. Please read them before you create an account.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and the administrator of the shootmodel.com service ("ShootModel", "we", "us"). They apply to the website, the app and every feature on shootmodel.com. By creating an account, booking talent, listing a profile or buying a plan, you accept these terms. If you use ShootModel for a company, you confirm you may accept them for that company.
You can reach us at support@shootmodel.com.
These terms were last updated on October 15, 2026.
2. Accounts
You need an account to book talent, run an AI casting, save a shortlist, send a shoot request or publish a talent profile. You sign up with an email address and a password and confirm the address with a code we send. Keep your login safe and do not share it. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including actions of team members you invite to your seats.
Give true and current details. We may suspend an account that uses false details, is shared, or is opened again after we closed it.
3. Bookers and talent
ShootModel has two kinds of users.
- 01Bookers are brands, e-commerce teams, photographers, producers, agencies and others who search for talent and book shoots.
- 02Talent are models, content creators, actors, extras, hand and parts models and couples who list a profile and accept bookings.
One person or company may act in both roles, but each booking has one booker and one talent listing. An agency may list its own talent on the Agency plan and act for them in bookings.
4. Adults only, ID and age verification
ShootModel is only for people who are 18 or older. Every talent must pass an ID and age check before their profile is shown to bookers. On a couple profile, both people must pass the check. We may ask bookers to verify their identity too. If we find that a person is under 18 or used someone else's ID, we remove the profile or account at once.
A verified badge means the ID and age check was passed. It does not mean we vouch for a person's skills, conduct or work.
5. ShootModel is a marketplace
ShootModel connects bookers and talent and runs the booking, payment and paperwork. We do not employ talent, and we are not an agent or manager for anyone. Talent are independent and decide their own rates, availability, categories and whether to accept a request. Bookers decide who to book and run their own shoots.
Each booking is an agreement between the booker and the talent. We are not a party to the shoot itself and do not control what happens on set. Talent are responsible for their own taxes and for any permits or licenses their work needs. Bookers are responsible for the set, its safety and any location permits.
6. How bookings work
Bookers search by talent type, city or remote, date, hours, budget and other filters, and see talent available on that date with the all-in rate for those hours.
- 01Book now is available when the talent has instant booking turned on. The booking is confirmed when payment goes through.
- 02Request to book sends the request to the talent, who accepts or declines within 24 hours. The booker's card is authorized when the request is sent and charged only when the talent accepts. If the talent does not accept within 24 hours, the authorization is released and nothing is charged.
- 03A shoot request sends the date, city, hours, budget and brief to all matching talent, so the booker can collect confirmations.
Chat opens inside the booking after a request is sent. Personal contact data is not shared before a booking is made.
7. Payment, held funds and payouts
All bookings found on ShootModel are paid through ShootModel. The booker pays the listed talent rate for the booked hours plus the usage buyout chosen in checkout. Bookers are not charged a separate service fee.
We keep the payment on hold until the shoot is completed. The talent is paid out 48 hours after completion, unless the booker opens a dispute within that window. Payouts go to the bank account the talent adds in their profile, through our payment provider.
8. Platform fee
ShootModel charges a platform fee of 15% of the talent rate. It is withheld from the talent payout and is never added to the booker's total. The fee is shown to talent before they accept a booking.
9. Booking agreement, model release and usage license
Every booking automatically gets three documents.
- 01A booking agreement with the date, hours, location, rate, brief and cancellation terms.
- 02A model release in which the talent gives permission to use their likeness as agreed. On a couple profile each person signs their own release.
- 03A usage license that sets the media, territory, term, exclusivity and buyout chosen in checkout.
Both sides e-sign the documents. They are stored with the booking and can be downloaded as PDF. Any use of images beyond the usage license needs a new written agreement with the talent. If these terms and a signed booking document differ on a point about that shoot, the booking document applies to that point.
10. Cancellations and no-shows
These cancellation terms are part of every booking agreement. "Call time" means the start time in the booking.
| Situation | What happens to the money |
|---|---|
| Talent cancels or does not show up | The booker gets the full booking charge back, and we help find a replacement |
| Booker cancels 72 hours or more before call time | The booker gets the full booking charge back |
| Booker cancels between 72 and 24 hours before call time | 50% of the talent rate goes to the talent, and the rest of the rate plus the full buyout go back to the booker |
| Booker cancels less than 24 hours before call time, or does not show up | 100% of the talent rate goes to the talent, and the buyout goes back to the booker |
| Weather or permit issue on an outdoor shoot | The shoot can be moved to a new date within 30 days if the talent agrees, or the rules above apply |
Bookers on the Production plan and higher get priority help with a replacement when talent cancels. Talent who cancel often may lose instant booking or have their profile removed.
11. Disputes about a booking
If something went wrong at a shoot, the booker may open a dispute in the app within 48 hours after completion. While a dispute is open, the payout is paused. We review the booking agreement, the chat, the documents and what both sides send us, and we decide how the held payment is split. We aim to be fair and quick, and we may ask both sides for more details. For any other issue, contact support@shootmodel.com first, and we will try to resolve it with you.
12. Ratings
After a completed booking, the booker and the talent may rate each other. Only a completed booking can lead to a rating. Ratings must be honest and about the booking. We may remove ratings that are abusive, off topic, or given in exchange for something.
13. Subscriptions for brands and talent
Brand plans (Studio, Production, Agency, Enterprise) and talent plans (Model, Model Pro) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, in advance. The features and limits of each plan are on the pricing page. Limits count what you use in the billing period, and deleting an item does not give back a slot. Publishing a talent profile needs an active talent plan and a passed ID and age check.
- 01Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- 02You can cancel at any time in your account. Access continues until the end of the paid period, and no further renewal is charged.
- 03Moving to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly charges the difference right away. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the next period.
- 04One subscription per payer. If you already have a plan, you change it rather than buy a second one.
- 05Subscription payments are final. Our refund policy lists the narrow exceptions.
Without a plan, a signed-up booker can run one AI casting, keep one shoot request and one shortlist, and book talent paying per booking.
14. Acceptable use
ShootModel is for professional commercial, lifestyle and creative work. You must not:
- 01Post, request or brief adult, nude, lingerie or suggestive content, or anything sexual in nature
- 02Ask talent to pay you, or ask for payment outside ShootModel for a booking that started here
- 03Move a booking off the platform to avoid the platform fee or the booking terms
- 04Harass, threaten, discriminate against or pressure anyone, on set or in chat
- 05Share another person's contact details or private information without consent
- 06Create fake profiles, fake requests or fake ratings
- 07Scrape, copy or resell data from the service, or try to break its security
- 08Use ShootModel for anything illegal
We may remove content, cancel bookings, pause payouts and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
15. Content you upload
You keep the rights in photos, videos, text and other content you upload, such as portfolio images or moodboards. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, show and process that content only to run ShootModel and show your profile or shortlists to the people you choose. You confirm you have the right to upload it, including permission from photographers and any person shown. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
Rights in images made at a shoot are set by the booking documents, not by this section.
16. AI casting
AI casting ranks available talent against a moodboard or reference photos you upload and gives reasons. The ranking is a suggestion to help you choose, not a judgment of any person, and it can be wrong. You decide who to book. Do not upload images you do not have the right to use. One AI casting is included after signup, and plans include a monthly number of castings.
17. Disclaimers
We work hard to keep ShootModel running and accurate, but the service is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions. We do not guarantee the quality of any shoot, the result of a booking, or how anyone acts on set.
18. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or lost-profit damages, or for what bookers and talent do at a shoot. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in fees in the 12 months before the claim. For booking payments, our role is limited to holding and releasing funds as these terms and the booking agreement describe. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
19. Indemnity
If your breach of these terms or your conduct at a shoot leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
20. Ending your account
You can close your account at any time from your settings or by writing to support@shootmodel.com. Bookings already confirmed must be completed or cancelled under the booking terms first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or is used for fraud. Sections on payment, documents, content, liability and disputes still apply after an account is closed.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. If a change is important, we tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Using ShootModel after that date means you accept the new terms. Changes do not alter booking documents that were already signed.
22. Contact
