ShootModel refund policy

Subscription payments on ShootModel are final. You can cancel a plan at any time, and you keep access until the paid period ends. We return a subscription charge only for a double charge, a proven unauthorized charge or a total failure of the service. Booking charges follow the cancellation terms in each booking agreement.

1. Plans are final

Brand plans (Studio, Production, Agency and Enterprise) and talent plans (Model and Model Pro) are subscriptions for access to ShootModel features for a month or a year. You pay for the period in advance, and full access starts right away. Whether you use the features a lot, a little or not at all during the period does not change the price, so unused time is not paid back.

All features and limits are listed on the pricing page before you buy, and after signup you can try one AI casting, one shoot request and one shortlist before choosing a plan.

2. Cancelling a plan

You can turn off renewal at any time in your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and nothing more is charged after that. Access is not cut short, and the rest of the period is not paid back.

3. Upgrades and downgrades

Moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly billing, charges the price difference right away, and the new plan starts once that payment goes through. Moving to a lower plan takes effect at the start of your next period, and no part of the current period is paid back.

4. The only exceptions

We return a subscription charge only in these cases, only when our records and the payment provider's records confirm them, and only up to the amount of the affected charge.

  • 01Double charge. You were billed twice for the same period because of a fault on our side.
  • 02Proven unauthorized charge. Someone used your card without permission, you tell us promptly, and the records support it.
  • 03Total service failure. A fault on our side made ShootModel fully unusable for you for a sustained time, you reported it to support@shootmodel.com, and we could not fix it.

Any amount returned goes back to the original payment method.

5. What does not qualify

  • 01Changing your mind or no longer needing the plan
  • 02Not using the plan during the paid period
  • 03Forgetting to cancel before a renewal
  • 04Choosing the wrong plan or billing period
  • 05Not finding talent you liked in a given search
  • 06Part of a period after you cancel

6. Consumers in the EU

If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have a right of withdrawal for online purchases. At checkout you ask us to start the service right away and agree that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has started. Because access begins as soon as you pay, the right of withdrawal ends at that moment.

7. Booking charges

A booking charge is the talent rate for the booked hours plus the usage buyout. It is not a subscription, and it is handled by the cancellation terms in the booking agreement that both sides e-sign.

SituationWhat the booker gets back
Talent cancels or does not show up The full booking charge, plus our help to find a replacement
Booker cancels 72 hours or more before call time The full booking charge
Booker cancels between 72 and 24 hours before call time Half of the talent rate and the full buyout (the other half of the rate goes to the talent)
Booker cancels less than 24 hours before call time, or does not show up The buyout only (the full talent rate goes to the talent)
Weather or permit problem on an outdoor shoot The shoot moves to a new date within 30 days if the talent agrees, otherwise the rows above apply

8. Requests that are not accepted

When you use Request to book, your card is only authorized. If the talent declines, or does not accept within 24 hours, the authorization is released and you are not charged.

9. Problems at the shoot

If something went wrong at a completed shoot, open a dispute in the booking within 48 hours after completion. The payout to the talent is paused while we review the booking agreement, the chat and the details from both sides, and then we decide how the held payment is split.

10. How to ask

Email support@shootmodel.com from the address on your account. Include the date and amount of the charge, the plan or booking it relates to, and a short note on which exception applies. We check every request against this policy and reply by email.

11. Card disputes

If you have a problem with a charge, please write to us first. Most issues are solved faster that way than through a card dispute.
